Comcast-NBCUniversal Engages STEM Students and Members of Congress with Congressional App Challenge

Comcast-NBCUniversal is a world-wide media and technology company that believes in social innovation– they understand the power we all have to make a difference in our communities.

That is why Comcast-NBCUniversal is funding nonprofits that are making positive change in their communities. As one of their funding recipients, the Congressional App Challenge (CAC) pursues this mission of community engagement for positive change by engaging middle and high school students in a yearly coding Challenge to inspire students to learn or practice coding.

Each year, the CAC inspires students from all over the United States to create and submit an original app. These apps will be displayed on Capitol Hill where Members of Congress will acknowledge district winners’ creations. This not only engages students interested in STEM but also our Members of Congress who realize the importance of STEM education.
