CONGRESSIONAL APP CHALLENGE ANNOUNCES #HOUSEOFCODE 2025 AT THE U.S. CAPITOL
Washington, D.C. – December 26th, 2024 – The Congressional App Challenge is thrilled to announce that the 2025 edition of #HouseOfCode will take place April 8th-9th, 2025, at the United States Capitol. This premier event will bring together the brightest young tech innovators from across the country to celebrate their achievements in the 2024 Congressional App Challenge.
#HouseOfCode serves as the ultimate celebration of student creativity and technological innovation, showcasing the incredible talent of youth who are shaping the future of tech. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the winning apps, meet the students behind the creations, and hear their inspiring stories firsthand. The event will also offer a chance to engage with Members of Congress and leading figures in the tech industry who are championing these young innovators. Last year, the Congressional App Challenge welcomed 360 winning students from over 220 Congressional Districts to Washington, D.C.
#HouseOfCode is a dynamic platform for collaboration, inspiration, and recognition. In addition to celebrating the winners, the event provides opportunities for tech leaders, educators, and policymakers to connect and support these future innovators.

About the Congressional App Challenge
The CAC is an initiative of the U.S. House of Representatives, where Members of Congress host contests in their districts for middle school and high school students, encouraging them to learn to code and inspiring them to pursue careers in computer science. The non-profit Internet Education Foundation provides the CAC with supplemental staffing and support. In the nine years of the Congressional App Challenge, the program has yielded 70,944 App Challenges across all 50 states. Thousands of functional apps have been created for Congress, and participant demographics surpass all industry diversity metrics.
